At Spectrum we see the person, not the condition.
With 30 years' experience of supporting and promoting the rights of people with ASD, we have a proven track record of managing and reducing the impact of severe challenging behaviours. We recognise the ultimate value of the individual and their right to be treated with dignity and respect and to fully participate in community life.
We are always developing and refining our approach towards supporting people with autism. We work with other professionals to develop our non-aversive, proactive positive behaviour management techniques.
Whatever a person's condition, we do not allow it to rule their life. Instead we aim to limit its impact by supporting them to take control of their lives as far as possible.
We are a non-for-profit organisation and a registered charity; regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission and Ofsted.
