Heightlea is a four bedroom house situated in its own grounds on the outskirts of Truro. The house is within a short walk of the city centre which has a good selection of high street shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs, performance venues and a cinema. Truro has other recreational and leisure facilities which provide various levels of social engagement. There is also an excellent college giving opportunities for educational and vocational learning. Truro has good transport links to other nearby towns and is on the main railway line to London.
The main house at Heightlea provides accommodation for up to four adults as well as day service and respite facilities. The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms a large kitchen, dining area, two large lounges and a conservatory which leads out to a balcony with far-reaching views over the countryside. There is also an independent flat for one service user within the grounds with its own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen and living area. Communal facilities are available in the main house.
The large garden beside the house also has a beautiful outlook and contains a patio area.
The staff team has an on-going training programme which is designed to meet the needs of the service users within Spectrum. Training is monitored and routinely refreshed to ensure that all team members are working to the same consistently high standards and that each service user is safe, healthy and happy. All team members work to person-centred planning principles to ensure that the service users’ own aspirations and needs are understood and fulfilled.
