Our in-house Clinical Psychologist works alongside service users and their support teams by using individual, non-aversive psychological interventions derived from evidence-based assessments and methods. We work together with the Registered Managers of each home to ensure that our overall approach is person-centred and autism specific.
By having direct access to a chartered clinical psychologist who specialises in autism, who involves the individuals and families concerned, we can greatly reduce the duration and severity of a service user's psychological distress.
The psychologist works closely with the behavioural support team and the training department to make sure a consistent, robust approach is applied to any behaviours of concern.
