We believe that everyone has the right to live their lives the way they choose, where they choose and with the correct level of support they need. We tailor flexible support around the person and adapts and changes the level of support as the person themselves change and develop.
We provide personal care and domestic support to people in their own home, irrespective of whether they live with family, friends or on their own. We also provide housing related support to people who are tenants or who live in their own home to help them make informed choices about where they live and issues surrounding living independently.
Support is centred on the individual and is flexibly arranged to meet their specific wants and needs of the person; whilst meeting the specification of the service purchaser.
In order to achieve the best outcomes for each and every individual, our aim is to understand their specific aims, goals and needs. We listen to the individual and refer to their person-centred plan to determine what these goals and aspirations are. Sometimes the individual approaches us with a specification of the service they would like us to provide. Alternatively, we offer an assessment process, which we complete alongside the individual, and in consultation with all interested parties, in order to design a person-specific service to best suit the individual.
As each individuals’ service is personally tailored, this means being flexible - from providing a few hours a week up to 24/7 support. Services that initially start with a few hours can build up to larger packages over time and as trust develops between the person and the service. It may be that they would like to take a holiday or short break and we can support them in doing so.
We assist in supporting an individual to access a range of community facilities, education or work placements, specific interests or activities, whether vocational, social or leisure. We believe it is important that each person engages with their community and becomes a valid member of society.
We understand how important a family holiday is, or just a little time alone. As we are set in the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall, we help people to find places to stay and visit whilst on holiday and support the individuals and their families throughout their stay.
We understand that full time carers need well deserved breaks from time to time. We provide a short break service to carers so that they can relax knowing that their loved ones are receiving uninterrupted support and are enjoying their activities and lifestyle as usual.
We work with and alongside a range of others people and services including families, other service providers, housing providers, adult social care, health, education and criminal justice professionals.
