Waking Night Care Support Worker
40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent, full time or part time.
Hourly Rate: £9.96. Weekend rate £11.52.
Hours per week: Full time 40. Part time 20 or 30.
Work base: Any designated location.
Responsible to: Registered Manager or designated Line Manager.
Summary: The role of Waking Night care support worker requires the postholder to undertake night work between the hours of 22.00 and 08.00 the following day.
Your primary concerns will be the needs and wellbeing of service users, to which you will respond promptly and appropriately.
When not attending to service users, you are expected to remain awake and to undertake any such administrative or domestic jobs as may be required by the home’s manager or a regional manager.
You will be supported by either another waking-night team member or by a sleeping-in team member on site. If necessary, an on-call manager can be contacted.
Full training is given, and you will be expected to complete a Care Certificate within twelve weeks of commencing employment. If you already have a Level 2 or 3 in Social Care, this may be considered instead.
Employment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is also dependent on satisfactory and verified references.
