Why Spectrum?
We are one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist care services for people with autism, learning disabilities, associated conditions and challenging behaviours.
Since it began in 1982, Spectrum has grown to become a leading provider of specialist care with a strong track record of working with adults and children with autism and other associated conditions.
Spectrum operates over 20 residential homes, all in the beautiful county of Cornwall, and offers tailor-made support which encourages individuals to be active members of society, leading fulfilled lives and playing valued social roles. Spectrum also provides education at its own independent specialist education centre and provides both internal and external specialist training.
The primary aim of the organisation has always been to promote the development and interests of those we support through our care.
Whatever a person’s condition, we don’t allow it to rule their life. Instead we aim to limit its impact by supporting them to take control of their lives as far as possible.
Spectrum is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity; regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission and Ofsted.
